Project Background: In 2011, Mazarin defeated global competitors to win the order for 12 x 70-foot (approx. 21.3m) tall ships for the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, aiming to replace the aging fleet.
Technical Breakthrough: While strictly adhering to safety standards, through the application of vacuum infusion process and composite carbon fiber technology, the hull weight was reduced by approximately 1.5 tons compared to the original design, increasing speed by 2-3 knots while lowering construction costs by 25%.
Real-World Validation: In service since 2013, these "Qingdao-built" racing yachts have completed multiple circumnavigations, enduring extreme sea conditions across the North and South Atlantic Oceans, establishing themselves as the backbone of the race fleet.
Derivative Version: Leveraging racing experience, Mazarin launched the 72ft Commercial & Leisure Edition, optimizing the interior and operational ease for only 2-person operation, widely used for marine business and leisure vacations.
